Women in Prepping!

by: BexarPrepper

This week on the Homestead Honey Hour your host BexarPrepper, invited the Hillbilly Prepper Gals to talk a little about what got them started in prepping. Sissy Bob has been prepping for 5 years. Sissy Sue is a new prepper in just the last 6 months. They started doing videos on YouTube January and can be found at:

Sissy Sue, the newest prepper of the two guests shared with us how with a job loss prepping has helped her survive over the last year and even increase her prepping stores. She talked about how important getting out of debt was as a part of the prepping process and how she did it. Fielding a call from one listener who stated that “he had no money left over at the end of the month”, Sissy Sue as well as Sissy Bob and the host gave several ideas on how to get started in prepping with little or no money.  Sissy Sue also had some valuable advice on how to get your grown kids to start prepping and understand why it’s important.

A great surprise came from Sissy Bob as she offered some wonderful advice for how women should choose a handgun. It was immediately clear that Sissy Bob has a lot of valuable information on guns and gun selection. She also teaches guns and gun selection classes. You can visit her web site at It did not end there with Sissy Bob. She also had some great advice on how to help special needs children no matter the age to understand what prepping is without fear and how to keep them involved in the whole process.

It was a wonderful show and I would encourage anyone, women or men to join the Honey’s every Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Central time, on American Preppers Radio. It will be an hour you won’t be soon to forget.
