Zombie Prank: Brothers Convince Sister of Outbreak
“Just drive,” Millicent said. Her eyes were wide as her brother drove, bloody gauze pads falling out of her mouth.
She had just gotten out of wisdom tooth surgery when her brother was making her panic. As the two drove back home, Millicent dazed and confused, the radio blared an emergency warning by the CDC.
“Washington DC has issued a viral outbreak warning,” the radio said. She looked around the car, raising her eyebrows. “State and Local Officials have reported cases of high fever, nausea, death, and even cannibalism. Stay in place until further notice.” She stared at the floor as the news came in, her eyes widening.
“What the heck?” her brother asked. “Did you hear that?” She was quiet for most of the drive, but eventually fed off of her brother’s fear.
“You’re driving like a slug,” she said. “Get to the house!”
Millicent’s brother quickly answered the phone and put his mother on speaker, to which she sounded very distraught, stating the two siblings needed to come home instantly. The brother quickly got home and left his sister in the car. “Stay here,” he said, leaving a confused and skeptical expression in the front passenger seat.
Millicent was a teenage girl – although she wasn’t the most brilliant mind in the world, she was certainly no dummy. “What?” she asked herself in silence, wondering whether to believe in what was happening. “Zombies?” she asked, echoing her thought.
After asking his sister which pet they should bring with them, she quickly said, “The cat!”
“Not the dog?” the brother asked, trying to cover his laughter.
“No,” she screamed back, “He’s the worse, he’s already dying. Leave him, get the cat.” Her other brother joined in the vehicle, the two of them prying her for answers on what the family should do to survive.
“Why do I have to be the one deciding?” she asked, holding her gauze pads in. After a few more minutes of terrified driving, the brothers told Millicent they were taking her home for rest.
“There’s no zombie apocalypse,” one said, and she simply looked down and moaned. The brothers began laughing and turned the camera off that sat along the dashboard, smiling at their YouTube creation. “Sorry, Millicent. We love you.”
