The water shortage in Central California had little to do with the Delta Smelt. That’s what the government doesn’t want you to know. Drought yes, but there was still enough water to irrigate.
Here is the truth. Toilette to your tap. The cities of Stockton and Sacramento can’t control their sewage problem so they dump it in the river. If it’s not diluted enough by the time it reaches the delta, they receive huge fines from the EPA. So the government allows them to dump their human waste in the river and then they cut back the farm irrigation so that there’s enough water to dilute it. This, while the farmers go out of business and the rest of us pay for it in higher food costs and shortages. Oh don’t forget the people who rely on the Sacramento-San Joaquin river delta for their source of drinking water and recreation.
I took these pictures myself along I-5. My apologies for the bug splatters, I probably should have got out of the truck to get a better photo
Nearly 200 miles along I-5 south of Stockton as far as they eye can see you will find devastated farms and orchards like this…Just in case you were wondering why food prices are going up. Tie this with the earlier post about Monsanto destroying our crops with their GMO crap, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Solution: Grow your own food and purify your water
