The Miracle of Bionic Boots
2 min read
Many see jogging as menial and boring exercise, something many out of shape people feel obligated to do so that they can maintain health or at least go out once a day to see the world, but to Keahi Seymour, running is an art form observable in just about every aspect of nature.
The inventor and founder of Bionic Boots claims that his life’s work will not only change the way human exercise is done, but the way in which our bodies will develop muscle and agility. The product is particularly unique in that it is designed more as a catapult than a running tool, pushing the runner high into the air as well as forward with every step. “It’s quite exhilarating,” Seymour admits, discussing his product with the Discovery Channel.

The inventor claims the device was originally inspired by observing how animals in the wild absorb energy through the elastic tendon located in the backs of their ankles. “Specifically the Achilles tendon,” Seymour goes on to explain, “These boots replicate the natural rubber spring that animals use so well,” essentially giving humans the superpowers.
The animal specifically chosen to be modeled after wasn’t the lion, the leopard, or even the tremendously speedy cheetah, but the ostrich. Known for reaching speeds of up to 45 mph, ostriches are the fastest bipedal animals, making them the most similar to humans due to the fact that we both stand on only two legs.
So how about owning a pair of bionic boots?
As of now, there are several models of Bionic Boots, showing decades of designs and remodeling, but they are yet to be for sale. Keahi Seymour hopes one day to eventually be able to reach beyond the speeds of ostriches. Though the Bionic Boots are not currently on the market, there are several investors interested, and just as many fans that Seymour claims he receives messages and mail from daily. “The most rewarding thing about the Bionic Boot is not only being able to make myself run faster,” he says, “But also inspiring young children.”
