Preppers in the news again! Here’s another good article about Lisa The Survival Mom
Peoria mom is doing her best to prepare for the worst
Lisa Bedford appears to be your average stay-at-home mom of two, driving her kids to archery practice in an SUV and selling Pampered Chef kitchen tools on the side. She hollers for 10-year-old Olivia and Andrew, 8, to come to the table and do math problems while she mills wheat to make her own bread. Dad is at work, and the family’s four dogs, one cat and the turtle in a glass aquarium are napping. Read More Here
American Preppers Network also got a good mention in the article. While the article, for the most part, in regards to the mention of APN is accurate, I do want to point out a couple details that were missed…While yes, I founded APN and 45 of the state networks, we weren’t the very first. Credit goes to Riverwalker at Texas Preppers Network as being the first. And without the support of Riverwalker, Bullseye from Kentucky and our members who joined shortly after, we never would have gotten this off the ground. I also want to point out that we aren’t just one site, we are a network of sites. This APN blog itself doesn’t receive 5,000 hits per day, but that is the estimated traffic of our networked sites including our forum. Being a network of people working together is what makes us successful.
I also wanted to point out that at the time of the interview, approximately one month ago, there were 290,000 google references to “preppers” just as the article states. Two weeks ago there were over 400,000 references. Now there are over 800,000 references on Google to the word Preppers. This should give you some sense of how this is growing.
Big thanks to Karina Bland at the Arizona Republic for the article and congratulations to Lisa for being in the news again!
