The Purpose of a Year Supply
1 min read
What is a Year Supply? It’s not what you might think! Specifically, it’s not a Year Supply of FOOD – that’s only PART of it. A Year Supply is meant to be a buffer to get you through the first year of a TEOTWAWKI or WROL situation and allow you to stock up and prepare for the next year. The things you need to take into consideration include Clothing, Communications, Documents, First Aid, Food Preparation, Food Storage, Fuel & Power, Gardening, Hardware & Building Supplies, Household Items, Toiletries, Tools, Transportation and Water.
In this video I briefly discuss each of these topics and what items need to be considered in them to accomplish a true Year Supply. I also further introduce the new series I’m preparing to launch which will present a weekly purchasing plan to acquire a full Year Supply.
I just stumbled on this site a few days ago and have watched a handful of your videos today. Your information is so helpful and will really take my husband and I farther into our education and ability to prep wisely (we are just starting). Thank you for the time you put into these in sharing your knowlege with the rest of us – both newcomers and oldtimers. Great stuff!
Wonderful site. I started prepping about 6 months ago but am learning more every day. There is so much yet that I need! I have learned to love my local dollar store and the thrift stores! Yet I fear I am not going to have enough when the SHTF. My future daughter in law rolls her eyes at me and thinks I am funny for prepping…She won’t be doing that when it does hit. This entire weekend is going to be busy for me as I am spending it all prepping.
I think bartering is going to be huge…I am also stocking up on cheap alcohol to use to barter. That will be popular!
